If you are interested in gardening please send me a message and I will give you a walk through then access.
We will have 1 plot open for Esper Members and will be using the other plot to make items for FC members (chocbo/stable stuff, minions and housing things).
Each member is limited to two spots (enough for inter-crosses) unless there is no interest or little interest.
For each plant you will also need soil. There are three grades of soil and three types. Shroud - give more crops, La Noscean - Gives higher chance of HQ, Thanalan - used for intercrossing
Serena, Trip and Maho are all gardening! Please contact me if you are interested. There are still spots open, and if there aren't it will help me plan ahead.
Update for all of those currently using the plots.
I thought I'd write out an example of what I meant by, "you can accidentally steal someone else's seeds."
For example:
apricot royal + kukuru bean = 1 glazenut seed apricot + royal kukuru bean + apricot = 1 glazenut seed
Apricot is the 'harvest plant.' When you harvest apricot you get the glazenut seed and crops. Royal Kukuru bean is the 'supporting plant.' When harvesting you do not get any inter crossed seeds, only the crop and a chance at royal kukuru bean seeds.
Even if you plant on both sides, you will only get 1 seed. This is why I mentioned being careful who and what you plant next to, because if you planted the apricot and royal kukuru seeds, and someone else planted the apricot seed next to your royal kukuru plant, their apricot plant could obtain the glazenut seed instead of yours.
Your apricot + Your royal bean + their apricot (apricot seed) (royal bean) (glazenut seed)
This has happened to me before, so please be careful!
You can also plant a combo, someone plants next to you, and you end up with a totally different seed then you wanted, and they end up with nothing.
One thing you can do to solve this is to plant things that will not cross to each other. This is what we are doing now.
You could also work together and plant the same things or work together and plant things with the same 'harvest plant.' An example is if you all used krakka plants as the harvest plant and each had different (or the same) supporting plants. As long as you alternated krakka, supporting, krakka, supporting…you will all get something cool without the worrying.
Just some tips for our new gardeners! I know Maho and I had a hard time coming up with a combo that would not interfere with anyone else that was cheap and fast. Ask me questions anytime!
Also, your plants can wither while they are ready to be harvested. So dont let plants that are ready sit for too long., cause you cant water them after that point.
